Laws and rules of the Road
Our FAQ's
ONLY use a proper harness, never a collar, choke chain, or neck-only device. In a sudden stop, collar pressure can injure a dog’s neck.
Our hammocks have Velcro pass throughs for seatbelts/tethers, and we offer a seatbelt tether that clips to your car’s seatbelt buckle/clip.
- The Original: Everyday protection + ¾-length zip so you can drop a section for a passenger/seat-down—without dismantling the setup.
- The Easy Clean: Removable base for ultra-fast rinses, zip-up sides (bucket mode), and a zippable mesh for quick front access.
- The Aluminium Pro (flagship): 3 aluminium plate inserts in Velcro-flap pockets for a more composed, heat-savvy feel (resists summer warping unlike perspex; won’t snap like wood), plus zip-up sides and a zippable mesh. (Aluminium can flex—that’s normal.)
Install the hammock → thread the seatbelt up through the Velcro slot → clip our tether to the harness → adjust length so your dog can sit/lie but not wander. Zip the side flaps (bucket mode) when you want extra containment.
Yes, we do!
The Boss Beds Pet Seatbelt (Harness Tether).
It clips to your seatbelt buckle/clip and to your dog’s harness (not collar). Stainless-steel hardware; colours: Black, Blue, Pink, Lumo Green (reflective).
We don’t recommend it.
Airbags + distraction risky combo. Keep dogs in the rear bench; our hammocks create a calm, defined space with a see through mesh so you can always see them and they can always see you
Pack like a pro 🎒
- Water & shade first. One bottle per 1–2 hours of driving.
- Treats + chew. A busy mouth = a calm mind.
- Throw towel / small blanket. Great under bellies after swims and for quick cleanup.
- Spare lead + tag. Leads vanish. Tags don’t lie.
- Emergency mini-kit: Vet number, basic first aid, extra poop bags, wet wipes.
And have fun!
