The ride that started it all

Boss our four legged co-founder wanted in on every mission: sunrise coffees, beach missions, gravel detours.

We wanted him there too… until the car looked like a fur tornado had moved in. We tried towels (slippy), blankets (soggy), cheap covers (meh). So we sketched, tested, and refined better fabric, smarter zips, sturdier anchors until it felt like gear you’d be proud to leave in your car every day.

We clipped it in, hit the road, and something clicked: clean seats, chilled dog, tidy vibe. Friends asked for one. Strangers asked where we got it and so Boss Beds was born.

Boss’s legacy

Boss has since passed but the name remains because the mission has not changed.
Every hammock we share is a little thank you to the dog who started it all and a nudge to take yours along for the next memory.

We’re based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town and build for real life here: blazing summers, rainy winters, dusty tracks, beach sand, mountain parking lots and those Karoo adventures.
If it works here, it works pretty much anywhere.
